Tips for storing firewood indoors

Keep only dry, seasoned wood inside and store your main supply outdoors under cover. Place the rack where you can reach it easily but outside the clearance zone of your stove, and use a wall protector if the rack stands against a painted wall. Frequently asked questions

Is a steel firewood rack safe next to a wood stove or fireplace?

Steel itself does not burn, but the logs do, so always keep the clearance distance stated in your stove or fireplace manual between the rack and the heat source.

Which firewood rack is best for a small space?

A vertical rack. Our vertical racks are 100 or 120 cm tall with a small footprint, so they fit beside a stove or in a corner. A wall-mounted rack frees up the floor completely.

What is the difference between the mesh and the plate wall protector?

Both keep bark, dust and scuffs off your wall. The mesh version is lighter and lets the wall show through, while the solid steel plate gives full coverage and a cleaner look.

Can I use a steel firewood rack outdoors?

Our firewood racks are powder coated and designed for indoor use. For a covered porch or terrace, contact us about outdoor priming before you order.

Do you make firewood racks in custom sizes or colours?

Yes. Every rack is made to order in our workshop in Riga, Latvia. Black and White are standard, other RAL colours and sizes are available on request. Contact us with your measurements.
