Steel desk and table legs buying guide

Quick answer: pick a leg width slightly narrower than your tabletop depth, choose a frame style that suits your table length and look, and add your top. All GJSteelandWood table legs are handmade from powder-coated steel in Riga, Latvia, 72 cm tall, and sold without a top.

1. Height and width

Our legs are 72 cm (about 28 in) tall, the usual height for desks and dining tables. Many models come in widths from 50 to 80 cm, so choose one that sits just inside the depth of your top.

2. Frame legs or four separate legs

Frame legs (a set of 2) give the most stability and are easy to fit. Four separate legs suit any top shape and keep the space under the table open. For long tables, X-frame and trestle legs carry the most weight.

4. Finish

Frequently asked questions

What height are your desk and table legs?

Our desk and dining table legs are made 72 cm (about 28 in) tall. Add the thickness of your top for the finished height. Other heights can be made to order.

What width of table legs do I need?

Choose a leg width a little narrower than the depth of your tabletop, so the legs sit inside the edge. Many models come in widths from 50 to 80 cm (about 20 to 31 in).

Are these legs for standing desks?

No. These are fixed-height steel legs, not height-adjustable standing desk frames. If you need a different fixed height, we can make it to order.

Do I get one leg or a pair?

Most models are sold as a set of 2 frame legs, enough for one table. FOURY and FOURY SMART are sets of 4 separate legs, and COLUMN can be ordered with 1 to 4 legs.

Can you make table legs in a custom size or colour?

Yes. Every set is made to order in our workshop in Riga, Latvia, in custom widths and heights and any RAL colour. Contact us with your tabletop size.
